Hey Folks.

I'm Marcus O’Brien. I'm a VP Product at a large technology company in San Francisco and for fun I run a YouTube channel and host a podcast with my best mate. I’m passionate about technology, etc and anything that can help me life a happy, balanced, productive life.

Who Am I

How’s it going folks? I started creating youtube videos when we were on lockdown and it has become a real passion of mine. I love to talk about technology, everyday carry and being productive with our time. I upload videos to my channel every Friday morning at 6am PST and release a podcast with my best mate Rami Banna on Wednesday nights at 8:30pm PST.

This page is a little self indulgent, it’s all about me. Hopefully you’ll find it interesting though🙂.

My Journey From VP Product to Creator

My YouTube journey started back in 2022 when I had two small children and was struggling to find a creative outlet. I love my career as a VP Product at a large, innovative technology company in San Francisco, but I wanted a way to share my passion for technology, EDC and productivity. I’ve always been interested in cameras and film making and youtube seemed to be a fun way to share my passions more broadly.

Fast forward a couple of years and the videos I am creating have started to get some traction. I am amazed at how ardent the community is on youtube and how supportive it is.

By 2022 I’d hired a video editor to help me create content for the channel. With their help, I was bashing out a video a week whilst working in a very demanding day job. This enabled me to really focus on the content, and reduce the number of hours I spent on the weekend editing videos.
